Sunlight, it
Shines bright in my eyes,
Paints me in bronze,
Gifts me with
Glistening, golden, effervescent eyelashes and
Fluttering, autumn, amber eyelids and now
Everything I see is hazy and psychedelic as the –
Sunlight, it
Washes over me and
Pseudo-solves all of
My woes
Now, I am nothing but an ethereal extension
Of the brilliant, luminous ball of flame
That gleams with the promise
My woes
Won’t come back when the –
Sunlight, it
Smothers me with sprawling warmth
That catches on my breathe and
Settles in my pores and
Coats my core and
Drips off my limbs
As I turn every surface of me towards the –
Sunlight, it
Shatters, as the rays reach me and splinter
Into the thinnest whispers of copper threads
That I see everywhere I look and
I see even with my eyes closed as they
Find and fill every crevice around
As the sounds
Hush
And the movements
Still
And nothing in the world exists
Except
This single split second in time and the –
Sunlight.

Great post.
I just wanted to ask why this name and tag line??
LikeLike
Funny you should ask because the tag line is about to change. “Sick and Sick of It” because I’ve had fibromyalgia since I was 14 (started the blog when I was 15), and I am indeed sick and very sick of it. The tag line was because I was going through a very difficult time when I started this blog. It’s about to change because, at almost 20, I feel differently. It’ll change next week on my 20th birthday…

I am glad times have changed. I just googled fibromyalgia, I am really sorry for what you go through and you must have actually been very sick of it. I am really really glad that you feel differently and better. 😇
Hope you have a great year ahead. Happy 20th!

Thank you so much! It means the world that you were moved to google the condition. I’m still sick, unfortunately, it’s just that I have more in my life than just my illness now. Thank you for the birthday wishes and stay tuned on the 31st to see what the new tag line is! Every year on my birthday I write about what has happened and evolved since the last – this will be my fifth birthday post…

An enclosed rhyme reply:
A beautiful poem, words, with a bit of you, enriched by a warming sun.
A warm sun filled day, just you, in your world, all alone with nature.
A friend indeed, the sun, but don’t abuse it, heed nature, its censure.
Your never alone, don’t let reality hurt, although life alone can be fun!
